Thanksgiving NFL Trifecta
Thanksgiving week kicks off with the traditional Thursday
trifecta of games. This week marks the end of the bye weeks and everybody’s
back in the pool hereafter.

Never trust those fat lines: Houston was -16 prior to
kickoff last week and had to struggle to get to overtime against the Jaguars, where
Andre Johnson took a swing pass to the house for the OT victory. Traditionally,
this is the biggest game on the Lions’ schedule every year. It doesn’t matter
whether the Lions stink or whether the opponent is a world beater. It’s the
Lions’ only national tv game every year and they always give their all. That
being said, Houston has an overpowering offense and the Lions’ defense (coming
off of a late loss to Green Bay) will have their hands full trying to stop the
Texans’ multifaceted attack. Suh maintains that Honolulu Blue is still in the
hunt for a playoff shot, but the facts (AND STANDINGS) say otherwise.

Final Score: Houston 34, Detroit 17

Around the time that the tryptophan kicks in, the hated
rivals kick off. Last week, RGIII and the ‘Skins flatten the Eagles like a
pancake. Dallas had a really tough time trying to shake the Browns, having to
go to overtime to win by a field goal. None of this matter on Thursday, as
these two teams have been bitter rivals since the days of Tom Landry and George
Allen. The Cowboys have been up and down all year while this game marks RGIII’s
return to the Lone Star State, where he excelled at Baylor.
Projected
Final Score: Dallas 27, Washington 21

The Jets will be lying in wait for New England on
Thanksgiving night as this is the biggest game of the year for Coach Rex &
Co. Forget about the fact that the Patriots hung 59 points on Indianapolis. The
Jets are coming off of a very impressive win in St. Louis and have to feel very
good about their chances. Remember the last time these teams met: the Jets
threw a real scare into the Patriots and Sanchez was pretty much able to move
the ball up and down the field at will. Gronk was injured in the Indy game and
he’s one of Brady’s primary targets.
Projected
Final Score: NY Jets 24, New England 23
