Thursday night brings the NFL Network to San Diego, where the absolutely woeful Chiefs travel to meet the semi-woeful Chargers. This is your garden variety NFL Network game with one team that’s at the bottom of the League facing another that seemingly doesn’t care. The Brady Quinn Experiment was brief and unfulfilling as he went out of the game early with a head injury in the Chiefs’ 26-16 terrible home loss to Oakland. Matt Cassel returns as the starter after having dealt with concussion issues of his own. Not to be outdone, the Chargers played a brutal game in Cleveland, as the Browns’ defense only allowed two field goals. Philip Rivers is hamstrung by having bums for wideouts, one of whom dropped a pass that could’ve gone for a touchdown last week. This week, Rivers & Co. ought to feel confident that they can bag one in the “W” column.
