Week 15 Thursday:
At Chicago -2.5 New Orleans 44
It will be a cold and mean night at Soldier Field with temperatures hovering around the low 20’s. Just the sort of night when the Great Mr. Halas would be exhorting his Bears to knock the livin’ stuffin’s out of anyone not wearing the Navy and Orange. Both teams are 7-6, but it’s only Da Bears who have a shot at the postseason, as they’re only a game behind Minnesota with three to play. The Saints have the League’s best passing game and the Bears are highly susceptible to the pass. On paper, Brees should shred the Bears’ pass defense and have a 400+ yard night. The problem for New Orleans is that Soldier Field has become a house of horrors for them in recent years. The Bears need to establish the running game with Forte and chew up as much of the clock as they can on offense. They should have sufficient motivation with a playoff spot within their grasp. If they fail, The Old Man would be very disappointed…
Projected Final Score: Chicago 23, New Orleans 20
