Not even the Ghost of the Great Obnoxious One raised from the dead could bring life to a dreadful matchup between two 4-7 teams. Games such as these are prime fodder for “NFL Network” Thursday nights because no one except the locals and hopelessly pathetic football junkies will be tuning in for this one. Remote controls across America will be getting unusually strenuous workouts tonight. Alas, the show must go on.

The quarterbacks are pretty much a wash (Garrard v. Rosenfels) and both teams are in reasonably good shape. Jacksonville has struggled on offense this year, so the safest way to go here is with the home team, though anyone who would wager more than 10¢ on the outcome of this contest has serious issues…
