MNF Week 7 Preview:

At New England –2.5 Denver 48.5

Last week, Philip Rivers lit up the Patriots’ secondary like a Christmas Tree. This week, Jay Cutler comes to Foxboro with the #2 overall offense and he’ll be looking to do the same. Both of the Patriots’ feature backs are out of this game which means that Cassel will have to rely on the passing game. If Cassel were a “capable” reserve quarterback, it’d be like the old days of the AFL where shootouts were commonplace. However, Cassel is still very much a work in progress and, as we’ve seen, the quality of his performances is akin to a rollercoaster. Because the game likely comes down to quarterback play, Cutler is better and the Broncos prevail.

Projected Final Score: Denver 27, New England 24
