Why???

There are no words to describe the horror of what happened in Newtown, Connecticut today. A crazed gunman entered an elementary school and murdered 20 children and six adults. 26 innocent innocent people lost their lives for reasons known only to the evil perpretrator of this unspeakable crime. The grief suffered by the families and friends of those lost must be unimaginable. To quote President Obama speaking on behalf of the nation, "we are heartbroken."

We are overwhelmed with sorrow. There is no rationalizing this. Who would harm an innocent and defenseless child? What sort of evil is this? All we are left with is to ask why to so many questions without answers.

Schools are supposed to be sanctuaries of learning. What is this?

Until law enforcement is able to piece together this horrible puzzle all we are left to do is to pray for the repose of the souls of the innocent and to pray that God brings solace and comfort to the survivors and the families.

Dear God, please bring healing and peace.
