Turkey Day Tripleheader
Best wishes to one and all for a Happy Thanksgiving.
Green Bay -6.5 At Detroit 56
The last time the Packers were 10-0 was in 1962 when they rolled into Motown and were crushed by the Lions. Can history repeat itself? Last week, the Lions “roared” back from a big deficit to overwhelm Carolina while the Pack had an uncharacteristically uneven performance against Tampa Bay. Both of these teams have porous defenses and both offenses can put a lot of points on the board. The Lions are looking at this game as their season. If they can pull off the upset, their Wild Card hopes will stay alive. The Packers already have the #1 seed in the NFC sewed up and obviously would like to win, but the Lions need this one badly.
Projected Final Score: Detroit 31, Green Bay 28
At Dallas -7.5 Miami 44.5
The Cowboys were supposed to demolish the ‘Skins last week but had to go to overtime before squeaking out a 27-24 win. The Dolphins have finally set the ship on the right course having won their last three. This week, things take a turn for the worse in Big D.
Projected Final Score: Dallas 27, Miami 14
At Ravens -3.5 San Francisco 39
Les Freres Harbaugh duel on Thursday night at M&T as the 9-1 ‘Niners look to continue their improbable run in yet another East Coast trip. So far, the travel hasn’t fazed the 49’ers one bit, but they face a team that plays a very similar smashmouth style. This will be a clash between some great linebackers (Lewis and Willis) but at some point all of the travel by the ‘Niners this year has to take its toll.
Projected Final Score: Ravens 23, San Francisco 17
