MNF Week 15 Preview

Chicago -6.5 At Minnesota
(TCF Bank Stadium) 33.5

For the first time in 29 (long) years, the Vikes play a home game under the stars (or more likely, snow) as the Bears come to town looking to rebound from their disastrous showing against New England last week. There was a time (long ago) when the Vikings’ snow games were legendary and featured several players (Page, Eller, etc) who went on to the Hall of Fame. But that was more than a generation ago. Tarvaris Jackson is through for the year with turf toe so it’s untested rookie Joe Webb against a Bear defense that’s looking to nail down the NFC North crown. The Vikings’ punter complained that the Gophers’ home turf is like “concrete”, so between the snow and the field conditions it ought to be a barrel of laughs out there for the players. Maybe, just maybe, the OG may be out there frolicking in the snow as he was upgraded from “out” to “questionable”, so he may be shooting for one last hurrah on MNF. The Vikes are in a rough spot here as their season has been over for quite awhile and the Bears have everything to gain. OG or not, it’ll be a long night for the Vikes.

Projected Final Score: Chicago 17, Minnesota 10
