MNF Week 14 Preview
New Orleans -3.5 At Atlanta 43
The Ghost of Michael Vick has hung over the Falcons like an ugly cloud all season. Now that judgment has been rendered can the smoke clear and the players and the organization take the painful steps of moving forward, though it’s far to late to salvage this year.
The Saints are “mathematically alive”, but they’d have to run the table and hope for a series of highly unlikely events to happen. It doesn’t sound like there’s much hope for the postseason since the starting backfield will be watching this one from the sidelines.
ESPN has established new records for the most television viewers to witness a cable broadcast in their recent MNF Patriots’ telecast. They may set another record tonight, though it won’t be the sort that they’ll be bragging about. This is the sort of game normally reserved for the 117 “NFL Network” viewers who couldn’t do without a football fix to survive.
Projected Final Score: New Orleans 24, Atlanta 20
