Harvard Crimson Football 2007
The 134th season of Harvard football kicks off on Saturday on the road in a non-conference match against Holy Cross. When a team loses arguably one of its greatest stars, it’s hard to say who will step in to fill the void. Clifton Dawson is off to the NFL (as we foretold last November) and sophomore Cheng Ho has the burden of trying to fill Dawson’s place. It won’t be easy for him or for the Crimson this season. Most observers feel that the team’s strength is on the defensive side of the football, and The Crusaders are an offensive power (losing their opener to U-Mass 40-30 two weeks ago). HC has a good line and it will be their annual Homecoming game.
There are a lot of question marks for The Crimson, especially on offense. Look for this season to be a work-in-progress. Enjoy it for what it is: College football the way it was meant to be played.
Go Crimson!
