Alas, those days of yore, when blue skies reigned supreme...
It seems as if they were only yesterday...
Week 11 In Review:

For the Week:
Vs. W/L: (9-7)
Vs. Spread: (8-8)
Vs. +/-: (6-10)
For the Season:
Vs. W/L (98-62)
Vs. Spread: (78-80-2)
Vs. +/-: (73-55-2)
Not a bad week, as we’re slowly but surely creeping back on the leader board with five weeks remaining, a mere two games out of second place.
As for the losses, who among you would care to be watching film with Coach Coughlin this morning? I'll take a pass...Young Eli has got a lot of learnin' left to do. Right about now, it's looking like the Chargers got the better of that draft day trade. New Orleans got upset by the Bengals, not good for a team that's looking to make its move. In Philly, McNabb went down for the count and took the rest of the Eagles with him.
Were it not for a last second score by the Bills, it would've been a 9-7 week. We also missed out on a 10-6 week by one stinkin’ point in Miami’s win over the Vikings! (coulda, woulda, shoulda…) And the Lions, who knew that they were actually this bad? And who knew that the 49'ers would come back so well in such a short time? It was an impressive win against Seattle (who are gasping for breath right about now)
On the plus side, congratulations to Coach Belichick and the Patriots for about as perfect a game of football as has been seen around here in quite awhile. Apparently the Ghost of Coach Lombardi was too ill to prowl the Packer sidelines. Perhaps Favre ought to think about retirement at the end of the year. I’d suggest sooner, but his understudy is out for the season with a broken foot. No lover of football could delight in seeing the Packers play this badly.
The Bears went back to the Meadowlands and pulled out another win (though not as dominating as the week before). Sunday afternoon, they come east again for a showdown on the new turf with the Patriots. It should be interesting, to say the least.
Dallas was good pick as Indy had been primed for defeat for a couple of weeks; the same with San Diego over Denver. Michael Vick has fallen to earth faster than a lead balloon. And Coach Chucky’s crew in Tampa, give ‘em credit, they’ll never go down without a fight. Early week this week with three Thanksgiving games, we’ll be primed and ready to go on those tomorrow.
