A sub-par Week 6 that places your fearless prognosticator back into a first place tie with the leader of the cbs.sportsline.com experts. Unfortunately, we don’t get "bye weeks" in this space. There were a number of surprises this week, among them being upsets by Tampa bay and Tennessee, and Pittsburgh’s demolition of KC. It was an "Any Given Sunday" week in all respects. The Giants played really well, maybe the Saints are for real, Carolina is definitely up to speed, and the Jets keep hanging tough. How bout ‘dem Lions? The finally pulled through. San Diego and Dallas got comfortable wins, The Seahawks barely eeked one out, but the game of the week was last night’s "Thrilla In The Desert". The Bears’ offense was lousy, turning the ball over six (!) times, but their D and ST scored three TD’s. Leinart may have exposed one of the Bears’ weaknesses by his short perimeter passes…The Week 7 forecasts will be posted later in the week.
