MNF Week 8 Preview:
New England at Minnesota -2.5/–2 38.5 o/u
Howard and The Danderoo travel to the Twin Cities for a Monday showdown of contenders. Even though the Patriots are your fearless forecaster’s home team, they will not prevail at the dreaded Baggie Dome this Monday night. Due to the Bears' overpowering start, people have seemingly overlooked how talented the Vikes are under new Coach Childress. The discipline issues which were their undoing in '05 are gone. To date, the teams are remarkably similar, though Taylor has run for more yards. The key to this game is the Vikings’ O-and D-lines.
On the D line, the Vikes have the best premier run stuffing tandem in the business (the Williams Gang), on the O-Line, they have behemoths who simply push whatever’s in their way out of the picture. Richard Seymour probably won't play and his absence will be telling. The offense plays steady and predictable, doesn’t turn the ball over much. Brady has never lost in an indoor setting in his career, but there’s a first for everything. It’s been a tough week in the forecasting department, nevertheless, we’ll give it a shot…
Projected Final Score: Minnesota 23, Patriots 17.
